Lisa Cummings, L.P.N., R.C.S., Director of Echocardiography Services

Lisa is an L.P.N. who started with the Clinic as a new graduate of the Helena College of Technology in November 1996. Lisa left the Clinic in 2002 to return to her hometown of Great Falls to help care for an ailing family member and returned to the Clinic in 2004.

Lisa added a new twist to her role as an L.P.N. in 2006 when she began developing skills in echocardiography. She now performs transthoracic echocardiography studies, transesophageal echocardiography studies and stress echocardiography studies. Lisa became the Director of Echocardiography services in April 2010. She passed her national certification examinations in echocardiography in August 2010 and is a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer (R.C.S.).

Lisa is married to Mark and they have two grown children. Son, Trevor, is a crew chief for the Montana Air National Guard in Great Falls. Their daughter, Somer, is a registered nurse and married to Tony.

Lisa enjoys golf, camping and fishing in her spare time.

Jessica is a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) who graduated from The Helena College in December 2012.  She is currently studying for her R.N. degree through Excelsior College and plans to continue studying for her Master’s Degree in Nursing.  She worked in long term care for the first 10 months of her nursing career and joined The Clinic in December 2013. She has been receiving clinical "pointers" from Julie and Lisa as well as Dr. Paustian. 

Jessica worked for the State of Montana for 14 years before leaving in 2010 to pursue her dream of nursing.  She and her husband George own a restaurant in Boulder.  She has 3 stepchildren and 2 grandsons.  In her spare time when she is not studying, she loves to watch football and spend time with her family.

 

 

 

 

 


Christy L. Witham, R.C.S.Christy L. Witham

Christy is a Helena native who graduated from Spokane Community College in 1996 with a degree in Cardiovascular Technology. She worked at St. Peter's Hospital as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) and in the cardiac catheterization lab from 1996-2004 before relocating to Polson, MT where she worked for Providence St. Joseph Medical Center managing the echocardiogram lab. During that time she also performed echocardiograms for the International Heart Institute in Missoula until 2013. She recently moved back to Helena and joined The Clinic in July 2017. In addition to cardiac ultrasound, she is currently in the process of completing her Medical Assistant Certification.

Christy has two teenagers, Meagan and Colton. She loves to spend time with her kids, travel, hike, and watch baseball.

 

 

 


Devin T. McNellis, RDCS, RT (R)

Devin is a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) who graduated from the Florida Institute of Ultrasound in June 2016. Devin worked as an echocardiographer at Livingston HealthCare but wanted to return to her hometown of Helena and joined The Clinic this May. Her future goals include taking the vascular ultrasound board exam to become a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). Devin is also a Registered Radiologic Technologist. She graduated from the University of Montana Missoula College and worked in the field of x-ray at Missoula Bone & Joint for one year and then decided that she wanted to pursue the field of ultrasound. Devin now performs transthoracic echocardiography studies, transesophageal echocardiography studies, stress echocardiography studies and carotid ultrasound studies here at The Clinic.

 

Devin is getting married this August to Dalton her high school sweetheart. Devin enjoys spending time with her fiancé, her family, and her beloved pup Bumper Lou. Some of her favorite hobbies include working out, softball, and being on the lake.
